This will be a preview of our awesome Honeymoon trip that we took in September 2017. I will be reviewing and describing a specific aspect of our trip in each installment. This will include reviews of a couple of airlines, hotels and a safari.
The trip review will look as follows:
- Flights from Chicago to Paris onward to Johannesburg, South Africa in Air France Business Class
- South African Airways on inner country flights
- 4 days on safari in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve
- A review of the Westin in Cape Town
- Exploring Cape Town (sneak peak: Shark diving was a disappointment)
- The grand finale flights home on Emirates First class from Cape Town to Dubai and onward to New York
My apologies in advance that when we took these trips I didn’t have the slightest idea that I maybe should take more pictures. I didn’t really plan on writing a blog, so pictures might be more random. In the future, I want to document better to give you a full account on all things.
I hope you will follow along as I will publish these installments. In each installment I will go into more detail on the actual experience. I will also include how we paid for that part of the trip and as usual, how those miles and points were earned.
It might give you some ideas for a special occasion trip and how this can be you in the future.
Summary
Are these trips easy to plan all the time? Absolutely not. But I can tell you that it is so much fun when it all comes together and you embark on a fun trip with a special someone. For me, writing this also brings back a lot of great memories of our honeymoon.
