Credit Score: How does it really work?

A lot of times I get the question around my credit score when I talk about how many credit cards I have. Doesn’t it hurt your score to have many cards and inquiries? In general, the answer is no. When I started to apply for more credit cards my score was in the low 600s. That is not very good. As of this post, my score is around 770. Read on to learn more.

Flight Review: Hong Kong Airlines – LAX – HKG – BKK

This is the start of our journey from the mistake fare we scored with Hong Kong Airlines back in August. You can read about it in more detail here and here. This is the first part of an overall trip review. In this post, I will be sharing my review of the 15 ½ hour flight from Los Angeles to Hong Kong and some thoughts on the Hong Kong to Bangkok flight which was on the same plane.

College Football Weekends Can Get Expensive Too

A few weekends ago, we went back to my Alma Mater for a college football weekend. Similar to wedding weekends, a short weekend getaway can add up quite quickly between flights, hotels/AirBnB, football tickets, rental car, meals out, bar tabs…the list goes on. Normally, we like to plan these trips out way in advance, as small college towns fill up quickly around football weekends. This time we didn’t know we were going until about 3 months before the game.
